Stock Bulls Upsall Polled Shorthorns

 

Loch Awe Lysander (P) stock bull Upsall Shorthorn Herd

Upsall purchased Loch Awe Lysander (P) when he was the Supreme Champion at Perth bull sales in 1998 a fleshy good moving roan bull by the Australian bull Belmore Uptown.

Uppermill Recto (P) stock bull Upsall Shorthorn Herd

In 2002 we had the chance to buy Uppermill Recto (P) another roan bull that had bred very well for David Mc Cloed. His pedigree was full of Champions and in 2005 the progeny of Lysander and Recto won all the male trophies with an Upsall prefix.

Vortrekker stock bull Upsall Shorthorn Herd

We followed with Vortrekker by a son of Recto and out of a Sutherland Bundaberg daughter. Bundaberg has top figures for calving ease, terminal and self replacing indexes.

Atilla of Upsall (P) stock bull Upsall Shorthorn Herd
Our next bull was Atilla of Upsall (P) again by a Recto son and out of our imported embryo cow Secret Maid (P) by WHR Sonny a very good American bull.

Dunsyre Bonaparte

More recent bulls in use have been the Thirsk sale Champion Bilsdale Anson (P) from our Tessa family and by Cairnsmore Xtreme Force (P)

In 2010 We purchased Dunsyre Bonaparte a son of Dunsyre Wolfstone at Stirling a powerful good carcase bull breeding excellent calves.

For the past three years we have supplemented our bull battery by using artificial insemination to Glenisla Zetor a son of the good breeding Fearn Wyvis. Glenisla Zetor has the top EBV growth figures in use in Britain. Also two Australian bulls Broughton Park Thunder to improve calving ease and carcase and Bundaleer Yankee Cruiser a bull with great depth of flesh.
