Broughton Park Thunder

Broughton Park Thunder (P) a curvebender EBV bull has produced exciting calves at Upsall and Glenisla. He is a trait leader for birth weight and with figures of +10.9 for calving ease, figures of -1.6 for gastation length, eye muscle at +3.3.

We are also delighted with the growth of his calves.

He was a Durham Contributor sire in 2008. He was the No1 in the breed of the 2007 born bull calves for both Domestic and Export maternal indexes in the Summer and Autumn Group Breedplan analysis.

Ken Trengrove of Broughton Park says that a good number of breeders have used the bull through A.I. "I have had nothing but positive feedback."

When the Broughton Park Herd was sold last year to the Yamburgan Stud, Thunder honoured a previous agreement and was sold to Laird Morgan of Arubial where they were awaiting his calves when I made contact. Dingo of Upsall (P) Upsall Shorthorns

However Liz Manchee at Yamburgan said that Broughton Park Thunder daughters have grown into practical females with good udders. We hope to sell his first Upsall son at Stirling in February.
